Senior Business Analyst - Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philadelphia

Join Georgia IT, Inc. as a Senior Business Analyst in Whitehouse Station, NJ or Philadelphia, PA. This is a 6+ month contract position with a hybrid work schedule (minimum 3 days onsite, excluding Fridays). The working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, with virtual interviews conducted as part of the hiring process.

Job Summary

The client seeks a Sr. Business Analyst to support data analytics solutions across North American Insurance operations. The ideal candidate is collaborative, creative, curious, adaptable, and experienced in agile project management. Responsibilities include working with business and tech teams through the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with NA Data and Analytics stakeholders to understand business needs for insurance products and processes.
  • Analyze and document complex business systems, identifying gaps and solutions.
  • Create business cases and project proposals with benefits, costs, and risks outlined.
  • Decompose high-level requirements into detailed functional specifications in collaboration with business owners and tech teams.
  • Leverage technical knowledge to learn and adopt new technologies such as GenAI, ChatGPT, AI/ML.
  • Assess the business impact of proposed changes and lead impact analysis activities.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specs for insurance systems.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, develop test cases, support testing, and track issues.
  • Develop training and end-user documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams to manage scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor and report project progress within the NA analytics portfolio.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulations; property and casualty insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Project management experience in an agile environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence is a plus.
Experience & Education
  • 7+ years in business analysis, strategy, change management, or related fields, preferably within data analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience or interest in insurance domain.
  • Stay updated with advancements in data and analytics technologies.
