Senior Business Analyst Team Lead (POD Lead)

Description:

A Business Analyst is required for a Tier 1 investment bank supporting various divisions. The project involves facilitating the completion of technology risk & control assessments, of multiple Internal & 3rd Party vendor applications.

The right candidate:

• Can respond to a rapidly changing business environment and can take ownership and responsibility for the delivery deadline.
• Is adaptable to work across multiple applications (both internal and external), with a focus on completion of tasks, and can escalate concerns on time.
• Possesses good business analytical skills, and:
• an understanding of software engineering skills,
• has a logical approach to problem-solving,
• is able to work in a fast-paced environment liaising with demanding stakeholders,
• is able to prioritize work under pressure with minimal supervision.

The role would suit candidates who have good knowledge of technology security controls, and the ability to ask the right questions to understand the functionalities of an existing software system and document it. Understanding of PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and various risk and controls assessments applicable to any technology platform in the field of information security.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with business, technology, or vendor personnel to gather pertinent information about existing software systems.
• Create a workflow diagram covering how information flows between various integrations in the application system.
• Create an architecture diagram (using the iDesigner tool) for the software system by referring to the workflow diagram or available component diagrams.
• Coordinate to complete risk & control assessments by interacting with multiple stakeholders and be able to prioritize tasks.
• Create status reports for ongoing tasks and present the same to senior management.

Skills Required:

• 8+ years of experience.
• Good analytical skills & an understanding of software architecture concepts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Requirement gathering skills to be able to understand the functionalities of an existing software system.
• Good knowledge of technology security controls (Authentication, Authorization, Encryption of data, Single sign-on, Data retention/deletion, etc.).
• Ability/skill to use flowcharting tools like Viso / Lucid chart.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly (iDesigner / AWS Console lookup etc.).
• Ability to research from existing knowledge base/document repository (like Confluence/SharePoint etc.).
• Understanding of PII data.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to work in a distributed or remote team environment.
• Overview of public clouds like AWS, and Azure.
• Experience in large financial institutions.
• Prior experience in the Information Security domain.
• Experience working on the Agile Kanban model.
