Overview
The Business Analyst – Cybersecurity Access will gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to access request workflows.
The role involves supporting project planning, coordinating user acceptance testing, troubleshooting system issues, and delivering clear documentation to ensure high-quality and timely project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Interpret business needs by gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating user and technical requirements.
- Collaborate in creating project plans to organize and schedule requirements management and development activities.
- Facilitate requirements analysis and verification sessions and track open issues to resolution.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts including documentation, verification, and release.
- Identify gaps in requirement adherence or system deficiencies and coordinate resolution.
- Create formal communications and provide guidance and training to end users.
- Troubleshoot moderate to high complexity technical, system, or business issues and develop solutions or workarounds.
- Review, analyze, and document business systems, processes, software, and user needs in accordance with established standards.
- Monitor and report project status, identify and mitigate risks, and coordinate projects from concept through implementation.
- Respond to policy-related questions regarding business processes, systems, and software through research and consultation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, testing, or related analytical work with cybersecurity access request or similar workflows.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SailPoint or other systems used for access request workflows.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions on time.
- Strong understanding of business analysis core competencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity access request products and services – intermediate.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
