Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst – Private Client, Endowments and Foundations Business supports the development and delivery of short‑ and long‑term business priorities, translating strategic objectives into clear plans, decisions and actions. The role provides structure and momentum across a broad portfolio of initiatives, ensuring important priorities are clearly framed, decision‑ready, well‑governed and effectively executed.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic planning and business support: work closely with the Head and COO of the Private Client, Endowments and Foundations Business to support strategic planning, business priorities and leadership initiatives; conduct business analysis, research and modelling to support leadership recommendations and strategic initiatives.
  • Strategic project leadership and execution: lead and coordinate complex, cross‑functional strategic initiatives across the business; operate independently in ambiguous environments with limited oversight.
  • Executive communications, decision support and presentation development: prepare executive presentations, briefing materials, business updates and communications for leadership meetings, business reviews, board meetings and other leadership discussions.
  • Cross‑functional coordination and stakeholder engagement: build and maintain strong working relationships across teams, offices and functions; partner with Finance, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Operations, Information Security, HR and business teams to support coordination and execution across strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting, technology and AI‑enabled analysis: use available tools, including AI where appropriate, to improve the quality, pace and consistency of business analysis, reporting, research and workflow execution.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategic finance, business strategy, business operations or a similarly analytical and project‑oriented environment, with a minimum of 2‑5 years in management consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics or a related analytical discipline). MBA or other advanced business degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross‑functional projects or strategic initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate independently with a high degree of ownership, initiative and accountability.
  • Strong strategic thinking, structured problem‑solving, analytical, research and business modelling skills.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights, recommendations and action plans.
  • Understanding of wealth and asset management business strategy and industry dynamics preferred.
  • Comfortable working in fast‑moving and ambiguous environments; familiarity with business technology, data analysis and AI‑enabled tools.
  • High levels of professionalism, judgment, discretion and stakeholder management capability.
  • Ability to travel 20‑30% of the month and work onsite in Washington D.C. or Baltimore office location.

Salary

MD & DC: $150‑200k, commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long‑term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
