Job summary

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Senior Business Analyst to join a gas and electric company in Columbus, OH. This is a 9-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.

Pay: $57.00 - $67.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience with business modeling concepts and business application development.
• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or CBAP strongly preferred.
• Experience with all phases of SDLC with Waterfall, Agile and/or hybrid methodologies.
• Knowledge of project management practices, process interviewing and mapping, and project scope documentation techniques.
• Ability to lead, guide, and coach less experienced business analysts.
• Ability to use modeling techniques and build business cases.
• Strong teaming, collaboration, negotiation, communication, organizational and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working closely with service providers.

Responsibilities

• Identify, define and document business requirements and functional specifications for IT projects and initiatives with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with service providers and partners to ensure alignment of expectations, deliverables and timelines.
• Review progress on service incidents and requests and analyze and report outcomes.
• Prepare materials and facilitate regular performance review meetings for IT and business leaders.
• Independently perform work assignments with limited supervision.
• Lead workshops to elicit requirements and design solutions.
• Oversee end-to-end traceability of requirements and manage changes.
• Assist testing teams and craft test scripts; support deployment and change activities.
• Coach other Business Analysts and share best practices.
