Senior Business Analyst - Data (Corporate Strategy)

As a Business Analyst – Data, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, Data & IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements, analyze data sources, and translate business needs into clear technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand the business use cases
• Translate business needs into data requirements and technical specifications for data engineers.
• Analyze source system APIs and data to guide ingestion and transformation.
• Define data mapping, lineage, transformation, and data quality rules required to bridge the gap between source and the target.
• Create clear data flow and process diagrams for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Support development of scalable, reliable data pipelines for analytics and AI.
• Promote data integrity, quality, and governance.
• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Recommend tools, products and services that support enterprise data goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience as a business or data analyst in a data migration or data warehouse role.
• Strong knowledge of P&C insurance domain, especially claims and policy administration systems (Guidewire experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with the Investments domain is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Lambda), SQL, and BI tools (MicroStrategy a plus), and data platforms like Teradata or Snowflake.
• Proficiency with Agile, Jira, Confluence, Lucid/Visio, and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
