Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our CRE portfolio to partner with Relationship Managers, Underwriters and Credit Officers. You will shape how credit risk is analyzed and monitored as market dynamics affect borrowers’ health.

You will work with a high-visibility team that translates complex problems into actionable solutions, driving strategic insights and measurable improvements across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field (or MBA with quantitative concentration).
• 2+ years of analytics experience across credit risk.
• 1+ years of statistical modeling experience preferred.
• 1+ years of market research experience.
• 1+ years of SQL querying experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business challenges and opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
• Support credit risk improvements by linking drivers to historical behavior and testing hypotheses.
• Develop hypotheses, test analyses, scope feasibility, and lead implementations.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Credit, Product, Tech and others to drive improvement.
• Demonstrate strong business judgment and communicate clearly to influence decisions.
• Drive results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, cross-functional environment.
