Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Amazon is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to turn ASCS data into decisions — not just report what happened. You will dig into complex datasets, build dashboards and data pipelines, and deliver insights that change leadership priorities tomorrow.
The role spans strategic and tactical work, partnering with Product, Program, Engineering and Sales to define data requirements, build self-serve analytics, and translate data into narratives that drive action at scale.
Job ID: 10536948 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Amazon spent decades building one of the best supply chains in the world to run its own business, moving, storing, and delivering products fast and reliably. Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS) now opens that same network up to other businesses, so any company can use Amazon's multimodal ground and air freight, warehousing, distribution & fulfillment, and parcel shipping to run their own operations. Think of it like what AWS did for cloud computing, but for supply chain, and it is just getting started. We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to turn ASCS's data into decisions – you don't just report what happened — you crisply explain why it happened, what it means for the business, and what we should do differently tomorrow. You'll dig into complex, messy datasets, build the dashboards and pipelines that make performance visible, and deliver the insight that changes what leadership prioritizes next. The role spans strategic and tactical work — from defining the analytical framework to writing the query yourself. It's highly visible, cross-functional, and not for someone who wants a narrow lane. The ideal candidate will be a sharp SQL and BI practitioner who builds things that scale, translates ambiguity into structure, and transforms data into narratives that drive action. You are comfortable embracing ambiguity, translating multi-channel performance data into a clear narrative, and changing a stakeholder's mind with evidence rather than opinion. You work backward from the customer, you dive deep rather than accepting the first plausible explanation, and you'd rather build a scalable solution once than answer the same ad hoc question five times.
