Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; six years of transportation operations experience.
• Four years in a supervisory capacity with knowledge of bus operations procedures.
• Knowledge of Labor Agreement; experience dealing with union representatives; substitution rules apply.
• Experience handling tight deadlines, extreme pressure, and adverse conditions.
• In lieu of a degree, directly related experience may be substituted year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Directs the cost-effective and efficient operation of an operating garage.
• Directs, plans, budgets, and manages all transportation activities related to the garage's operation.
• Directs the scheduling of daily transportation operations and ensures policy and labor agreement compliance.
• Prepares reports on operational activities and incidents.
• Acts as liaison with Maintenance Superintendent to ensure a reliable bus fleet.
• Responds on a 24-hour basis to emergencies or major incidents.
• Represents the Authority at community meetings.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of the Supt. of Transportation.
