Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to lead energy-efficient building projects and oversee commissioning activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, PE license, commissioning certification, and extensive field experience with building systems. You will coordinate testing, document control, training, and collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering from an accredited program.
• Functional knowledge of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, technology, instrumentation and controls, process or lighting systems.
• Understanding of applicable codes, standards and specification requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of commissioning processes and delivery.
• Fundamental knowledge of construction processes and project delivery models.
• Proficient with computer/software, data loggers, test and measurement equipment.
• Professional Engineer license (PE) in one or more states or minimum of 10 years in commissioning related practice.
• Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body.
• Valid driver's license and state required vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate system test procedures and functional performance tests.
• Conduct field observations and participate in progress meetings.
• Assist in document control and user training sessions.
