Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to oversee multiple building projects from planning through execution. You will manage subcontractors, review contract plans and specs, and drive project scheduling, cost forecasting and field operations with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years in construction or engineering, vertical construction preferred.
• 2+ years managing engineers and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and analyze engineering plans, specs and contracts.
• Strong work ethic, ethics and integrity are essential.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract compliance, quality control & field oversight of subcontractors.
• Develop understanding of contract plans and specifications.
• Inspect field conditions; identify problems and cost-saving measures.
• Manage scheduling and coordination; develop master schedule.
• Coordinate with management to ensure schedule accuracy.
• Handle document control, change management and project closeout.
• Review drawings for changes; quantify impacts and communicate.
• Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow.
• Recommend improvements to operations; mentor junior staff.
