Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Building Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to lead complex HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for commercial and wastewater projects. The candidate will interpret building and NFPA codes, size distribution systems, and draft models using AutoCAD and Revit.
The role supports work in the Eastern United States, with a preference for living near Philadelphia, Ramsey NJ, or NYC offices.
The Senior Building Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering role takes on more complex projects and leads the development of HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations. The role interprets mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes, as well as NFPA standards relevant to commercial buildings and wastewater treatment facilities. The role includes sizing ductwork, plumbing, and fire sprinkler distribution systems, and selecting appropriate equipment. The role may draft and model these systems using AutoCAD and Revit software, and develop detailed specifications in Word and Speclink.
This position supports work in the Eastern United States. There's a preference for someone to live near our Philadelphia, Ramsey, NJ or NYC offices. This person can work hybrid from these offices if commutable or can work remote in the Northeast with a willingness to travel as needed into these offices and nearby clients.
