Job summary

Intertek Group is seeking a Building Enclosure Senior Project Manager to lead the Building Science Solutions team in Kansas City, MO. You will manage project teams, mentor staff, build client relationships, and pursue new work with travel as needed.

The role emphasizes technical writing, design reviews, and coordination across disciplines to deliver high-quality enclosure projects for new and retrofit buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Architectural Engineering, with 7+ years in Building Enclosure consulting/industry.
• Alternative: 10+ years of Building Enclosure consulting/industry experience in lieu of a degree.
• Technical understanding of building enclosure systems and construction.
• Experience managing a range of small to large projects.
• Building Enclosure project management experience.
• Ability to perform work from ladders, scaffolds, etc., and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide building enclosure consulting, commissioning, and design/ construction administrative services for new projects.
• Provide investigations and assessments for existing buildings, with remedial design and construction administration.
• Prepare proposals for potential new work.
• Assist in meeting profit center financial goals.
• Prepare professionally written deliverables (proposals, reports, design reviews).
• Mentor staff and support hiring/training for the team.
• Develop business with local and national clients and balance workloads.
