Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental is seeking an experienced Senior Building Enclosure Consultant/Designer to support our Tampa, Florida operations. The role targets a seasoned professional with strong building envelope expertise, forensic investigation experience, and a track record in high-performance enclosure systems.

You will lead technically challenging projects across roofing, waterproofing, façades, fenestration, and building enclosure systems, acting as a technical leader for

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in building enclosure, roofing, waterproofing, or related consulting
• Strong background in design, detailing, constructability reviews, and repair/rehabilitation of existing systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear technical reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead peer reviews of drawings, specs, shop drawings, and submittals for building enclosure systems
• Develop remedial and retrofit design solutions for roofing and enclosure systems
• Provide enclosure design support for new construction and renovations with technical details and performance-based recommendations
• Conduct moisture investigations, pre-design evaluations, and property condition assessments
• Lead forensic investigations related to enclosure failures and water intrusion
• Perform field testing of roofing, waterproofing, fenestration, and façade systems per ASTM/AAMA/ANSI standards
• Produce technically sound reports, repair recommendations, design narratives, specs and construction details
• Manage projects, mentor junior staff, and provide technical leadership for enclosure and roofing assignments
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams through all project phases
