Job summary

Cosentini Associates, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Chicago, IL to join our Electrical team. You will help design electrical power systems for high-rise, healthcare, hotel and office projects, using AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in design of building power systems for high-rise residential, hotel and office buildings, and other commercial/institutional facilities.
• PE registration is highly preferred, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E. in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical power design for buildings and facilities including hospitals, laboratories, high-rise residences, hotels and offices.
• Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform service load calculations and short circuit studies.
• Meet project schedules and work within budgetary constraints.
• Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss projects.
• Review submittals and provide responses to RFIs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
