Responsibilities

• Conducts inspections of commercial and residential construction projects to ensure code and zoning compliance.
• Reviews plans for compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Maintains detailed documentation of inspections, violations, and actions.
• Advises stakeholders on plans, code interpretations, and procedures.
• Investigates complaints and issues violation notices as needed.
• Collaborates with other city agencies on design, licensing, and code requirements.
• Participates in team functions and supports team goals.
• Follows city financial policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Skills

Two (2) years of experience in inspec

Three (3) years of relevant experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in construction science, industrial technology, architecture, engineering, or related field
