Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Building Automation Technician III in Atlanta, GA. You will participate in on-site coordination, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems under a Construction Manager.

Responsibilities include commissioning, troubleshooting, database management, device replacement, subcontractor coordination, and on-site customer training. Strong communication and IT skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of trade and/or relevant work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Access, PowerPoint).
• Basic understanding of networks.
• Good conceptual aptitude and interest in building automation.
• Product or industry knowledge is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist with control commissioning and startup of new control systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control systems wiring, hardware, and software.
• Diagnose communication problems with control devices and other components.
• Create, load, test, and tune system databases.
• Install, replace, and recommission control systems devices, equipment, and software.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities as required.
• Provide on-site training to customers.
• Provide emergency and warranty services as required.
• Create and maintain test records and as-built documentation.
• Conform to project site safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Assist in basic field startup using standard startup/checkout processes.
• Support senior technicians and project managers for field-directed changes to design documentation.
• Assist project manager with material delivery, logistics, and LOT management using Design 360 and Prometheus apps.
