Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking an experienced BAS/FS technician to respond to alarms under the direction of the supervisor.

You will take action to safeguard people and animals and minimize equipment damage, with a focus on safety and reliability. Responsibilities include prioritizing alarms, calibrating control devices, modifying schematics, generating reports, and supporting energy-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Operations and maintenance knowledge, risk management, planning and evaluation.
• Strong task management, coordination and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and take actions on all Fire and BAS alarms.
• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions.
• Perform maintenance and calibration of BAS devices across multiple systems.
• Make minor software/hardware adjustments to keep systems within design parameters.
• Modify control system schematics and ladder logic as needed.
• Prepare offline/override/alarm status reports and trend logs.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and design improvements.
