Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Environmental Systems Senior Technician to support customers with building systems, perform preventive maintenance, and repair activities. The role covers on-site and remote assistance, system analysis, and documenting resolutions to keep clients informed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–3 years of job-related experience or combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Create basic programming logic using flow diagrams and panel layouts.
  • Program control applications using various software tools.
  • Assist with on-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing.
  • Identify operation per project specifications and design docs.
  • Develop system graphic displays per specs or sales proposals.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
  • Analyze systems, diagnose issues, and escalate when needed.
  • Document problems and resolutions for management and customers.
  • Keep customers and management informed of outstanding issues.
  • Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
  • Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.

About The Role

As a CBRE Environmental Systems Senior Technician, you will provide customers with support based on technical problems related to their building systems. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You\'ll Do
  • Create basic programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences or operations, panel layouts, etc.
  • Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
  • Assist with performing job-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
  • Identify proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposals, and design documentation.
  • Develop system graphic displays, according to project specifications or sales proposal.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
  • Perform system analysis and diagnostics. Isolate and troubleshoot problems, and take corrective action if possible. Escalate as needed.
  • Document problems and resolutions and report findings back to Management for customer follow-up.
  • Responsible for keeping the customer and management advised of any outstanding and reoccurring problems with products and services.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
What You\'ll Need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
