Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Development Engineer to own and advance the Builder Experience platform, including CI/CD, IDP, source control, and the AI-assisted tooling that helps every Builder ship with speed and safety.

Hybrid role based in Seattle, WA, reporting to the Engineering Manager of Builder Experience. You will design, build, and operate platforms powering the software delivery lifecycle; own reliability for critical systems; extend tooling for PMs, designers,

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2–3 years focused on Builder/Developer tools, build/release systems, or cloud infrastructure.
Advanced in Go, Python, or TypeScript with CI/CD and dev platform experience.
Experience leading technical design reviews and large initiatives.
Experience with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate platforms powering Remitly's software delivery lifecycle (CI/CD, IDP, source control, and build/test/release infra).
Own reliability for core systems, including on-call ownership and root-cause analysis.
Extend tooling to support PMs, designers, and AI-enabled workflows while maintaining safety in a regulated environment.
Shape how AI is used in the development lifecycle and set standards for evaluation and validation.
Lead design reviews, plan workstreams, and mentor engineers across the Builder Experience.
