Job summary

The City of Charlotte is seeking a Risk Budget & Finance Analyst Senior within the Risk Management division. This role supports budgeting, claim payment processes, and procurement tasks for the City, Mecklenburg County, and local boards.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and at least five years of accounting/financial management experience, with advanced Excel and ERP systems familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in accounting, financial management, and budget development.
• Experience with ERP financial systems preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and advanced analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation and review of journal entries for the division, researching and providing information as needed.
• Reviews check requests for completeness and accuracy and ensures necessary supporting documents.
• Enters check requests into Risk's claim management system and coordinates with Accounts Payable for processing.
