What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Participate in the creation and review of department/agency budget requests and revenue forecasts
- Guide departments and agencies through the annual work program distribution based on enacted budget laws
- Evaluate department/agency requests for changes in annual work programs and make recommendations to the State Budget Officer
- Monitor legislation in assigned policy areas and perform fiscal analysis as necessary
- Assist in providing on-the-job training and guidance to Budget Analysts

What is Required (Qualifications):
- A Master's degree with at least two (2) years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least four (4) years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of budgetary processes and techniques
- Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite software
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact diplomatically with staff and the public

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration and public finance
- Prior experience working with the State's Budget and Financial Management System
