Job summary

HII Mission Technologies, Warfare Systems (WS) group, seeks a Senior Budget Analyst to support critical cybersecurity funding and budget formulation for a Springfield, VA program. The role focuses on formulation, execution and monitoring of funds, with TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance required to start.

On-site position with leadership in fiscal discipline and accountability. Ideal candidates bring extensive PPBE and government budgeting experience, with ability to collaborate across program management

Qualifications

• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
• Expert, hands‑on knowledge of the PPBE cycle, federal acquisition processes, and advanced budget formulation and execution.
• Active Top Secret/SCI w/Poly security clearance is required to support the program office on day one.
• Demonstrated proficiency in NGA Financial systems to manage complex funding actions, lead program reviews, and ensure strict compliance with fiscal law and FAR audit standards.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, execute and monitor funds for the customer program in Springfield, VA.
• Collaborate with program managers to project future funding needs and draft comprehensive budget proposals; monitor expenditures to prevent overspending.
• Conduct variance analyses and ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Provide financial decision support to agency leadership to maintain fiscal discipline, transparency and accountability.
