Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Budget & Policy Analyst for a top local government/public-sector client. This individual will play a key role in complex budget analysis, financial forecasting, and policy research across multiple departments. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands‑on experience with large financial datasets in Excel, and the ability to turn complex budget information into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership. This is a great opportunity for someone with public‑sector finance, budgeting, or policy experience who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and influencing decisions around the effective use of organizational resources.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or policy administration
• Experience analyzing operating, capital, enterprise, special, and/or internal service fund budgets
• Strong expenditure and revenue analysis experience
• Intermediate or better Microsoft Excel skills, including working with high volumes of data
• Experience analyzing financial/budget data and translating findings into clear recommendations
• Ability to evaluate departmental or program performance measures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting analyses and recommendations to leadershipAbility to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information
