Job summary

Hingham Institution for Savings seeks a VP - BSA Officer to lead the Bank's BSA/AML program, with emphasis on foreign mission banking relationships. The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and partners with the Bank President on risk decisions, overseeing a BSA Analyst and all compliance activities.

The ideal candidate has CAMS/CBAP certification, 7+ years administering BSA/AML programs, and a strong track record in regulatory audits.

Qualifications

• BA in a related field is required; advanced degree a plus.
• Seven or more years of progressive experience administering an effective bank BSA/AML program.
• CAMS or CBAP certification required, or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Direct experience with high-risk or specialized customer types (foreign missions, embassies, PEPs) is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC regulations, FFIEC/FinCEN guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for board and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee a Bank-wide BSA/AML/OFAC compliance program.
• Lead regulatory reporting, customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence.
• Oversee sanctions screening and diplomacy-related screening.
• Manage risk assessments and annual BSA/AML audits and exams.
• Prepare governance reporting for the Board and executives.
• Oversee BSA/AML training, including for foreign mission staff.
