Job summary

CHESA, headquartered in Baltimore, seeks a Lead Engineer, Broadcast Services to own the technical design and field delivery of nationwide multi-site projects.

This senior role mentors junior engineers, partners with PM, Solutions Architecture, and Sales, and ensures on-time, on-budget execution while maintaining design integrity. The successful candidate will have hands-on engineering background and CAD/WireCAD skills plus SMPTE/AVIXA/Q-SYS certifications.

Qualifications

• Senior hands-on broadcast engineering experience.
• Experience translating customer requirements into system designs.
• Experience leading on-site installation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of CAD software; WireCAD preferred.
• Certifications such as SMPTE, AVIXA CTS, Q-SYS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design and delivery – translate customer requirements and project scope into actionable system designs, and provide hands-on technical leadership from design through final commissioning.
• Lead on-site installation and commissioning – on-site lead coordinating install teams with client in the field.
• Support pre-sales and proposal development – collaborate with Solutions Architects and Sales on bids, SOWs, and RFP responses.
• Manage risk against budget and schedule – flag technical risks and guide decisions to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Build engineering bench strength – mentor junior engineers and support hiring and staffing, maintain documentation standards.
