SummitMedia LLC in Louisville, KY seeks a Chief Engineer to install, maintain and repair studio, transmitting and ancillary equipment to keep our signals competitive while meeting FCC requirements. You will oversee telecommunications, networking, and IT desktop support for the market.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Chief Engineer experience, hands-on expertise with Axia Livewire, RCS Zetta automation, and broadcast infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as a Chief Engineer.
• Experience with Axia Livewire studio infrastructure including audio consoles, digital playback systems and RCS Zetta automation.
• IT skills including PC troubleshooting and local area networking.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems, generators and UPS.
• Experience with high power AM and FM transmitters.
• Experience with remote control, STL and antenna systems.
• Ability to read schematics and a working knowledge of electronics theory.
• Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains station operation through preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Installation and maintenance of control consoles, audio routers, recording equipment, microphones, digital audio systems, transmitters, antennas, control systems, remote equipment, and other broadcast related equipment.
