Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Sr. Project Manager - Bridges/Structural to lead delivery of bridge projects for public-sector clients, primarily VDOT, from planning through design to delivery.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget; mentor engineers; coordinate multi-disciplinary teams; and maintain client relations, ensuring technical excellence and quality across projects. The role requires a strong civil engineering background, VA PE license, and 10+ years of bridge experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• Active Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in bridge design and delivery with PM responsibility.
• Strong technical background in bridge analysis and design.
• Experience managing VDOT bridge projects strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage bridge projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Serve as Project Manager and/or Project Engineer on VDOT bridge projects and other public-sector clients.
• Oversee planning, staffing, and workload for multi-disciplinary teams.
• Provide technical oversight for bridge analysis and design to ensure code compliance.
• Review and approve design calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate geometric layout, quantity development, and deliverables.
• Manage client communications, lead meetings, and support BD efforts.
• Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence.
• Support QC/QA processes throughout delivery.
