Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Bridge Senior Project Engineer - Team Lead in North Charleston/Columbia, SC. The role leads discipline delivery, mentors junior staff, coordinates with clients and partners, and ensures design calculations, reports, and specifications meet project goals.

A PE license is preferred, with extensive cross-discipline coordination and leadership experience. The position demands advancing project delivery for complex infrastructure, guiding budget and schedule, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience or higher education equivalents.
Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience or PhD with 6 years of relevant experience.
Professional licensure such as SC Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions.
Leads discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects and guides junior staff.
Oversees scope, budget, and schedule adherence on complex engineering projects.
Coordinates with client counterparts and teaming partners on project deliverables.
Recruits, hires, develops and retains staff; plans reporting and performance reviews.
