Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Bridges & Structures team in Rochester, NY. You will lead bridge design efforts, manage staff, and coordinate with disciplines to deliver safe, economical solutions for a full range of bridge projects.

The role requires 8+ years of relevant experience and a NYS PE license (or reciprocity). Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required; master's degree is a plus.
• PE license in New York State (or via reciprocity) is required.
• 8+ years of professional design engineering work related to bridges or structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and assigned staff on bridge projects.
• Develop work plans for bridge designs and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Perform cost estimating and develop specifications/construction documents.
• Mentor and develop design staff.
• Maintain internal standards of practices and perform QC/QA on designs and reports.
• Serve as the point of contact for clients and contractors; act as quality coordinator.
• Assist in development of technical narratives, scope and fee for pursuits.
