RS&H is seeking a Senior Bridge Inspector to join our Bridge Inspection & Preservation team. This role involves performing complex inspections on bridges, culverts, and ancillary structures across the United States, with significant field time and travel.

You will document conditions, prepare reports, and collaborate with engineers to develop preservation recommendations. A minimum 7 years of relevant experience and FHWA/NHI training are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
• License/Certification: Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prior experience in construction inspection, including exposure to in-service bridge inspection, bridge load rating, bridge construction inspection, or bridge design; strong organizational, problem-solving, prioritization, and communications skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Perform complex routine and in-depth inspections of in-service bridges, culverts, ancillary structures, and other transportation assets.
• Identify existing conditions during complex field inspections.
• Document structural deficiencies and changes in condition with measurements, photos, and notes.
• Prepare clear inspection documentation, sketches, photos, and reports, including bridge inspection and scoping reports.
• Coordinate field activities including access, equipment, traffic control, and safety.
• Develop maintenance, repair, and preservation recommendations with engineers and preservation specialists.
• Assist in bridge scoping, structural assessments, and repairs between assignments.
