Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Bridge Inspector/Technician IV to lead inspections of bridges and transportation structures in the Kentucky and Ohio River Valley. You will coordinate field inspections, supervise staff, and prepare detailed reports and load ratings for project teams and clients.

The role may include bridge design and load rating work, with travel to project sites and adherence to NBIS standards. Strong communication and safety discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• HS + 6 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Ability to pass Motor Vehicles Record (MVR) check
• Current NBIS Team Leader or NBIS Team Leader Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct field inspections of bridges following NBIS and other regulations.
• Supervise and mentor bridge inspection team members; ensure quality and safety.
• Evaluate structural integrity and document deficiencies with reports, sketches and photos.
• Utilize inspection tools, software, and drones to perform assessments.
• Prepare inspection reports, load ratings, and rehabilitation recommendations.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to meet timelines.
• Maintain safety protocols and work near heights and active roadways.
• Assist in development of bridge maintenance and rehabilitation strategies.
