Job summary

DRMP in Orlando, FL is seeking a Chief Bridge/Structures Engineer to lead complex DOT bridge and infrastructure projects. The role requires a PE/SE with 15+ years post-licensure and 20+ years in bridge design and plans production.

A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered for the right candidate, with a compensation range of $185,000 to $210,000 per year. Responsibilities include serving as Project Manager/Engineer of Record, leading design, performing structural analyses, and mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE).
• 15+ years post-registration structural engineering experience.
• 20+ years of bridge design and plans production experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Structures Project Manager, Engineer of Record, or Design Lead on transportation projects.
• Lead design and production of structural calculations and drawings.
• Direct data collection, calculations and evaluation of alternatives.
• Oversee QA/QC of structural work and ensure adherence to codes.
• Lead marketing for bridge projects and respond to RFIs and vendor inquiries.
• Mentor junior engineers and support construction phase activities.
