Job summary

Moore Engineering, Inc. in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Sr. Professional Engineer - Bridge Engineer to plan and design bridge projects for public and private entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in bridge design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Ability to obtain PE license in ND or MN within 6 months.
• Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert, lead engineer, and engineer of record on projects with minimal supervision.
• Direct and/or design plans, calculations and prepare engineering documents for bridge projects, including details and cost estimates.
• Utilize bridge design software and other engineering tools to complete projects.
• Perform structural load calculations.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and schedules; ensure timely completion.
• Lead generation of bridge reports, quantity estimates, details, and drafting.
• Assign work and review design calculations and specifications produced by others on the project team.
• Participate in pre-project presentations and client meetings.
• Travel as required for project meetings and construction sites.
