Job summary

Mark Thomas is hiring an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to lead our Structures team in Denver. The role emphasizes project delivery coordination, supervision, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities include leading PS&E packages, QC, client communications, design calculations, and collaboration with CAD drafters. A PE license (and SE a plus) is required, with potential to obtain PE in-state within a year.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering; MS preferred.
• 6–8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
• California PE license required or ability to obtain within a year if licensed in another state.
• SE license a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design groups.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation; SAP 2000, VBridge, VBent, WinABUD, XTRACT.

Responsibilities

• Leads large project teams to deliver PS&E packages.
• Manages scopes, budgets and schedules.
• Performs QC measures and audits for compliance.
• Communicates technical material to staff, clients, and subconsultants.
• Leads proposal efforts regarding approach and client needs.
• Prepares design calculations, quantities, reports and exhibits.
