Job summary

HDR is hiring a Senior Bridge Engineer for our Alabama/Mississippi Structures Group. The position can be located in our Flowood, MS office. Serve in a lead technical role on bridge design projects and perform complex planning, analysis and design for transportation projects.

Requires a minimum of 10 years bridge design experience and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficiency with LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, SAP2000, OpenBridge tools, and Civil/3D is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years bridge design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proven hands-on experience in all aspects of bridge design projects.
• Familiarity with software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, OpenBridge Designer/Modeler, Civil3D and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a lead technical role on bridge design projects.
• Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects.
• Work on projects including bridge types and related infrastructure.
• Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, mentoring junior engineers.
• Perform other duties as needed.
