Job summary

MSA Professional Services in Champaign, Illinois, seeks a Structural Engineer – Bridges to lead design for bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects across Illinois and the Midwest. You will guide technical design, perform analyses, and coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes mentoring engineers, client relationships, and ownership of technical delivery in a 100% ESOP environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program required.
Structural engineering emphasis preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead structural analysis and design for bridge replacement, rehabilitation, and other transportation structure projects.
Perform and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and construction documents.
Apply design standards and engineering judgment to develop practical, constructible solutions and ensure quality throughout project delivery.
Lead field investigations and provide technical support during construction, including addressing design and construction challenges.
Coordinate the work of engineers, designers, and technical staff to deliver high-quality project documents.
Mentor developing engineers and contribute to proposals and client development.
