Job summary
HDR, Inc. in Bethlehem is seeking a Bridge Engineer to help design and rehabilitate bridges, performing detailing and applying modern engineering methods to deliver safe, durable transportation structures.
You will utilize leading software such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, and OpenBridge tools, coordinating with designers, engineers, and construction teams while mentoring junior staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Previous experience in bridge design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.
- Experience with structural analysis software and bridge design tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; experience managing junior staff is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques to bridge projects.
- Work on bridges and related highway/railway design projects.
- Develop structural details and perform load calculations using design software.
- Review work of junior engineers and EITs and support deputy project management.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to solve mobility challenges.
