Senior Bridge Engineer

To support our North American team, we are looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join us. You will be working on exciting infrastructure projects across, along with our highly professional team that provides technical expertise, design leadership, project management, and specialized engineering expertise.



Your key responsibilities will be to:



  • Lead teams of engineers and technicians producing drawings and calculations along with supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of other engineers

  • Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets

  • Perform structural analysis, design, and evaluation and be responsible for the preparation of calculations and drawings

  • Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design codes along with engineering reports and other technical documents

  • Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact

  • Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed

On top of that, you will have:



  • A Master's degree in Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 10years of related experience in Bridge Design and Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or can obtain one within 12 months

  • Experience with a wide range of structure types including, steel, precast and cast-in-place girder bridges, slab bridges, box structures, timber, retaining walls, and culverts

  • Familiarity with the use of bridge design codes, along with having sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: SOFiSTiK, CSiBridge, MIDAS)

  • Proficiency in the use of engineering and drafting software such as Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, Microstation, BIM, Google Sketchup, and Bluebeam Revu to efficiently produce engineering calculations and coordination documents

  • Experience with preparing proposals, fee estimates, and participation in business development is considered an asset
