Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our North Carolina team in Raleigh to support a rapidly expanding portfolio of major area projects. The role focuses on leading bridge design tasks, providing guidance to CAD teams, and delivering high-quality results.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in bridge engineering, a BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis, and ideally an MS in Structural Engineering with PE licensure.

Qualifications

• 8 years or more of related work experience with bridge engineering design
• BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis is required
• MS in Structural Engineering is desirable
• PE licensure is highly preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standard and specialty bridge design and analysis software

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately
• May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project
• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results
• Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders
