We are seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in Texas. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in bridge design who is ready to take on technical leadership and mentorship responsibilities.

If you are very strong on the technical side of bridge engineering, you can work remotely anywhere within the US.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee structural calculations, analysis, and design of bridges and transportation structures using industry-standard design software.
  • Perform and review bridge load ratings across a range of structure types, sizes, and complexities.
  • Review and validate design details and calculations completed by other engineers.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders through meetings and project discussions.
  • Develop innovative, cost-effective solutions to meet client needs within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Review and approve construction-related submittals.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation and files.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the professional growth of Structural EITs and interns.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by assisting with marketing bridge and structural design services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of bridge design experience.
  • Strong preference for experience with TxDOT standards and projects.
  • Proficiency with OpenBridge Designer and other structural design tools.
  • Solid knowledge of AASHTO specifications and bridge design codes.
  • Familiarity with the rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structures.
  • Strong technical expertise in the layout and design of bridges and highway structures.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
