Job summary

CTL Engineering in Charleston, WV is seeking a Sr. Bridge Engineer to lead bridge design projects from conception to completion. You will design, analyze, and evaluate bridge structures to meet WVDOH standards, collaborating with agencies and a cross-functional team.

The role requires a PE license in WV, 9+ years in bridge engineering, and proficiency in LARSA, Merlin Dash, and Leap Bridge. Mentorship and client interaction are key elements of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree (MSCE) preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of West Virginia is required.
• 9+ years of experience in bridge engineering, WVDOH focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee bridge design and analysis projects per WVDOH requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design for various bridge types.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, and specs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Conduct field inspections of existing bridges.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Maintain knowledge of WVDOH policies and industry practices.
• Mentor and train less-experienced engineers (EIs).
