Job summary

Parallel Web Systems is seeking a senior brand designer who can translate a deeply technical product into clear, engaging visuals. You’ll shape our storytelling, extend the brand system, and work with design, marketing, and DevRel to explain complex concepts.

You’ll produce diagrams, API illustrations, motion assets, and launch visuals, collaborating across pages, blogs, conferences, and social channels. A strong writing instinct and experience with technical products are a plus.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrates strong typography, composition, and range across brand, web, and motion.
• Ability to learn a complex subject, find the core idea, and explain it at different depths.
• Ability to contribute ideas to narrative and prototype motion.
• Experience with developer or technical products is a plus, with a strong writing instinct.
• Able to manage high volume of work, make quick decisions, and ensure production details.

Responsibilities

• Create diagrams, benchmark visuals, docs, and API illustrations.
• Develop visual essays and brand-expanding assets.
• Contribute to launch pages, blog art direction, conference visuals, motion, and social content.
