Elite Tax Partners in Temecula, CA seeks a Senior Bookkeeper to own bookkeeping production for 25–30 client portfolios, including training and reviewing a Bookkeeping Assistant. You will deliver monthly financials and maintain clean QuickBooks Online/Desktop files.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on business bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Experience managing bookkeeping production independently and preparing financials for review.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
• Experience training, mentoring, or leading other bookkeepers.

Responsibilities

• Take on assigned bookkeeping clients through a structured handoff based on complexity, deadlines, and assistant support.
• Meet established monthly close deadlines and flag risks early.
• Reconcile all accounts and ensure clean financials.
• Flag missing, unusual, or incorrect items proactively.
• Deliver accurate, tax-ready financials every month.
• Train and support a Bookkeeping Assistant; delegate tasks and provide feedback.
• Review work and escalate issues to maintain quality control.
• Keep all tasks updated in Canopy and ensure files are organized.
• Prepare monthly financials and required reports; support tax/planning teams with clean handoffs.
