Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5-10 years of experience in bookkeeping, business taxation, or accounting firm experience.
• Proficiency with accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll software (e.g., Lacerte Tax, QuickBooks, ADP).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including income, expenses, and supporting documentation.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions such as purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.
• Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support annual/periodic tax filings.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.
• Organize and maintain both digital and physical financial records.
• Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams to gather financial information, clarify discrepancies, and provide updates.
• Prepare and file business tax returns (e.g., corporate, partnership, sales/use tax) in compliance with applicable laws and deadlines.
• Respond to tax notices and assist clients in resolving tax-related issues or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with external tax authorities or agencies as needed.
• Support clients during audits by preparing and organizing required documentation.
