Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking an experienced BMU Technician III to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission suspended access equipment on high-rise projects. You will lead field activities, mentor junior technicians, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; advanced technical training preferred.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• 7+ years' experience with suspended platforms, BMUs or related systems.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and control system troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of suspended scaffolding, BMUs, and related access equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Lead installations, retrofits, commissioning, load testing, and acceptance testing of access systems.
• Develop job plans including work sequencing, rigging requirements, and safety controls.
• Provide mentorship to Technician I and II personnel.
