Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Senior Blockchain Security Engineer to protect our Web3 platforms. You will lead security reviews of smart contracts and on‑chain products, and work with on‑chain engineering to implement secure development practices. The role requires hands‑on security, threat modeling, and tooling development.

In‑person presence is expected twice weekly at our SF or NYC offices, with a hybrid/remote cadence for broader teams. A strong background in blockchain security is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in application security or related roles.
• Strong background in Web3 security reviews.
• Ability to perform design reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews or pentesting.
• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
• Experience with secure key management and wallet systems.
• Familiarity with blockchain security tools such as Slither/Echidna.
• Some development or scripting experience (Python/Scala/C++/JS).
• Ability to align security with business objectives and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-depth security reviews of smart contracts, protocols, and Web3 apps.
• Advise on-chain teams on Web3 security and vulnerability remediation.
• Design and implement secure on-chain SDLC processes.
• Develop and maintain security tooling for blockchain ecosystems.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk teams on security risks.
