Placements24 partners with a leading Crypto & Blockchain innovator to hire a Senior Blockchain Security Analyst. This fully remote role focuses on safeguarding blockchain infrastructure and digital assets, conducting audits, and shaping security strategy for decentralized applications.

You will analyze smart contracts (Solidity/Rust), implement security standards, monitor networks for threats, and train teams.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a specialization in blockchain security analysis or smart contract auditing.
• In-depth understanding of blockchain technologies, cryptographic principles, and consensus mechanisms.
• Proficiency in analyzing smart contracts written in languages like Solidity or Rust for vulnerabilities.
• Experience with security assessment tools and techniques for distributed systems.
• Knowledge of common blockchain attack vectors and defense strategies.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a fully remote role.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Blockchain Security Professional (CBSP) or equivalent are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• The role is remote first, however, familiarity with the South African market, including Welkom, Free State, ZA, is an appreciated addition but not mandatory.
