Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Senior Blockchain DevOps Engineer - AVP – Digital Assets at its Whippany, NJ office. The role focuses on building and operating DevOps, automation, deployment, and observability capabilities for the BDAP platform, including blockchain infrastructure and wallet services across open and permissioned networks.

You will work with blockchain engineers, wallet engineers, security, and operations to automate deployments, strengthen production readiness, and ensure secure, scalable

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating DevOps capabilities for mission-critical production platforms (CI/CD, release automation, environment management, infrastructure automation, production deployments).
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating blockchain infrastructure and wallet services (validators, RPC services, signing services, wallet APIs).
• Operating platforms in on-premises and hybrid environments with network segmentation and secure connectivity.
• End-to-end observability across blockchain and wallet components (metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, automated alerts).
• Apply AI-assisted engineering, DevSecOps, and automation to improve deployment quality and reduce risk.

Responsibilities

• Build, deliver, and maintain infrastructure solutions with reliability, performance, and security in mind.
• Monitor IT infrastructure and performance to identify and resolve issues and outages.
• Develop automation to reduce manual tasks and increase efficiency.
• Implement secure configurations and protect assets from cyber threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure with business goals.
