Job summary
Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CB Node team within the Platform organization. This team runs blockchain nodes powering assets across Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, and more.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering with systems-level performance analysis and optimization.
- Experience operating distributed systems at scale and diagnosing bottlenecks.
- Proficiency in backend Go and observability tooling (pprof, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
Responsibilities
- Own performance analysis and optimizations across the blockchain node stack.
- Build observability, health-check, and automated failover capabilities.
- Drive right-sizing across the node fleet with capacity models.
- Collaborate with protocol integration, wallet, and indexer teams.
- Lead the definition and implementation of SLOs and SLIs for node services.
- Support protocol upgrades with a performance-first approach.
